MOLOKO NIGHTCLUB HATFIELD; AN ASSAULT ZONE FOR NIGHTLIFE LOVERS#suemoloko

Moloko night club one of the supposed most attended night spots in Pretoria has within the years lost a huge level of its pedigree. This is clearly as a result of their lack of poor management team and respect for their clients.

Moloko is recently labelled an assault zone where customers and clients no matter how respectable you are can actually get battered or assaulted as a result of a probably ego filled manager or drug consuming security personal also known as the club bouncers.

This was the case on the 16^th of may 2014 when the so called club had his regular Friday events  where certain celebrities performed including Lulo cafe and sizwe dholomo(mtv base) and an expected performance by Nigerian superstar sean-tizzle who never showed up leaving the guest in a silent anger out of fear of being harassed. Information gathered was that the manager of the club who angrily approached one of the guests questioning him on why he brought in a camera man, we later discovered that this guest was heading an online tv network and was invited by a show promoter who happen to be celebrating his birthday on that same day in the club and with the permission and knowledge of the club management and the online tv network was there to cover the event. The normal argument that occurred between the manager and the guest led to the manager asking the bouncers to send off the guest in an embarrassing manner and like it wasn’t enough outside the club the same manager ordered  the bouncer to beat up the guest who in the process was bruised and sustained huge facial damages with internal nostril bleedings.

This is not the first time this sort of incident has happened in moloko night club where the police who took down statements from the guest wasn’t surprise at the incident. The case is presently been investigated by the south Africa police service.

The only curious thing that got our attention at AFRICANEWS is how the bouncer could carry out the assault right in front of the manager and club owner without being stopped and also how can a club be allowed to use untrained security persons for such a fragile duty therefore endangering lives of people who visit the place.

The manager in this so called club find a slice of power in their hands every Friday Saturday and Sunday, whoever he dislikes or has an issue with, he instigates an argument between him and them only to end up embarrassing such customer with the bouncers and assaulting them outside the club.

An eye witness who claimed anonymity said he saw the bouncer hit the guest on two separate occasion the same night right in front of the club and noticed the owner saying nothing but instead requested to see the brutalized guest inside his office in the process the bouncer still launched his unsuspecting victim a coward punch right at the entrance of the club. ‘my friend who is a student in the UK  was once a victim of this club assault he confirmed’

Their is need for security agencies to ensure that such occurrence that deprives people of their rights must seize. maybe the reason behind the continuous assault of innocent people by this club is because of their so called network in the law court in hatfield where there get favored for been able to manipulate the law with.
